Dreem is a combination of small teams working hand in hand. As such a back-up entity is needed to check that everything is functioning at a high level, needless to say the end user’s level. The testing team is that entity whose role is to ensure that the complex product developed is flawless and easy to use for the client.
Working with the product team, the R&D teams and also the customer service team, your role is to tests hardware or software prototypes to validate that they are rightly functioning and practical to use. And when a portion of users is complaining about a particular feature, it is part of your job to understand why and where our product could be improved.
As stated above, the testing team is the bridge between the product team and the end users, a bridge that can be crossed in both directions.
When the product team is working on a new feature or hardware, it is your job to anticipate where the weak spots might be between the different R&D teams to ensure that the feature will be delivered flawless. To do so, you need to tests that feature with a critical eye and place yourself as an end user who wants an easy to use product that fits their needs. When it appears that several users are complaining about the product, as you have a high level vision of the latter, your job is to try and find where the actual friction is to help the product team define an accurate solution.
The more the Dreem company is growing and the more people are working on one topic together. The testing team can act as a glue to ensure that all of those people are inlined with the specifications or newly discovered issues.
We’ve also become medical device in the US. That added to the fact that we long to achieve optimal quality of our product, Dreem is currently raising its standards in terms of product delivery efficiency and overall quality.
- One core mission is to tests hardware prototypes and validate the best options. Those tests can be concerning signal quality, audio quality, comfort or usability (Managing operations of internal product test-fleet, monitoring the general technical health of product test-fleet, deploying test protocol internally or externally)
- The other core mission is to test the Dreem application to check that it is bugfree and compliant with the product specifications. Those tests can be either manual or automatic (Closely working with technical teams and acquiring extensive product knowledge, consolidating and analyzing test results to share insightful data and recommendations to the different teams)
- Automatisation of both those hardware and software testing are at the heart of the team to become more and more efficient and reliable.
