Job description

The Business Development Manager will drive the company's business expansion and diversification efforts, with a focus on identifying and evaluating opportunities in business sectors, corporate wellness and healthcare.

The Business Development Manager should demonstrate a wider understanding and knowledge of key business development activities (prospect identification, pipeline development and metrics tracking). Their three primary responsibilities will be to identifying new sales leads, defining and pitching the value propositions for each lead category and maintaining fruitful relationships with existing customers.

To support the development of this pipeline, the Business Development Manager will continuously evolve our "pitch" and value proposition for presentation to prospective partners.

In addition to internal analysis and evaluation, the Business Development Manager will play a prominent role in negotiations with prospective partners and acquisition targets to create and close mutually valuable transactions.

  • Lead the identification, development, evaluation and prioritization of promising business opportunities.
  • Develop and foster relationships with targeted external business partners, prospective collaborators and leadership of investment or acquisition targets to create a pipeline leading to new business opportunities.
  • Lead the evaluation and development of opportunities to develop and present recommendations to senior leaders.
  • Negotiate deals with prospective partners and targets.

Profile needed

  • MBA degree prefered
  • Based in NYC
  • 5+ years' experience in roles of increasing independence and responsibility, with a focus in corporate strategy, management consulting, healthcare or other relevant field.
  • Extensive knowledge of the healthcare industry is a plus
  • Socially adept
  • Good with numbers
  • Strong communication and IT fluency
  • Hands on
  • Creative talent and the ability to solve tough problems
  • The ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines
  • Skilled at prioritizing and triaging obligations
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
