    Our journey

    2021 2021

Dreem builds a digital sleep to provide better sleep solutions for all. With the launch of Dreem 3, the firm creates a one of a kind and clinically validated solution to assess sleep in both inbound and outbound settings. Dreem also reaches space, with the headband being tested by Thomas Pesquet in the ISS as part of the ALPHA mission.

    2020 2020

A new validation paper published in the prestigious SLEEP journal, proves that the accuracy of Dreem’s hardware and algorithms are equivalent to that of a PSG and a sleep expert analysis. This new validation, coupled with the explosion of digital health support the firm’s B2B shift.

    2019 2019

Dreem 2 - FDA registered as a Class 2 medical device - is launched, and Dreem crosses the Atlantic by opening a New York office. The firm pushes the boundaries of research by opening its first call for proposals for innovative research projects, and receives a growing amount of attention from health providers looking for ways to study sleep.

    2018 2018

A stepping stone in Dreem’s history, with €60 million raised from leading investors, enabling the startup to rapidly accelerate product development, invest in research and development, and advance the future of sleep tech. With the launch of a CBT-i app and the publication of 3 papers, Dreem steps up as a sleep pionneer.

    2017 2017

Dreem grows in scientific credibility and legitimacy, by putting together a world-class scientific advisory board with some of the world’s leading sleep experts - from Raphael Heinzer, Emmanuel Mignot, to Russel Foster. June 2017 also sees the launch to the general public of the Dreem Headband in Europe and the US.

    2016 2016

With over 7,000 applicants, the Dreem First beta testing program is launched and tested on 500 early adopters. A golden opportunity to gather feedback, iterate, and utimately refine the product to better suit the needs of patients. In parallel, Dreem’s first clinical trial is conducted.

    2015 2015

Starting as a duo, the team quickly grows to 12 experts. Engineers, as well as PhD students are recruited to build and test a new technology to monitor and improve sleep. By the end of 2015, the company files 10 patents and has its first functional prototype: the Dreem headband is born.

    2014 2014

A public academic research finding becomes the keystone of a private company. Two engineering students - Quentin Soulet de Brugière and Hugo Mercier - hear about a discovery involving audio stimulation and deep sleep. After delving into the field of sleep research, they quickly realize how much of a real sleep solution is needed.
